A Master Volunteers Training Program under ” Drug Free India Campaign

“A Master Volunteers Training Program under ” Drug Free India Campaign” was Organised by Nashabandi Mandal Maharashtra Rajya, under the flagship of Smt. Varsha Vidhya Vilas- Gen. Secretary of Nashabandi Mandal.-Maharashtra Rajya. alongwith MSJE.

Nav Nirman Foundation was invited to conduct this workshop to which, Mr. Bosco D’Souza represented NNF. The program was for college students of NSS cadre and had over 55 students from various colleges of Mumbai.

The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Raju Nivatkar, Collector of Mumbai. In his address to the students he encouraged them to be more vigil and be part of the process to curb the menace of drug abuse. He was also very open to having more information collected, so as they could even do some research on the same.

Mr Ingle -Asst. Commissioner Dept. of Social Welfare, Mumbai- Maharashtra also spoke about how the students could play a active role in identifying  drug abusers and help them seek treatment.

The National Institute of Social Defence (N.I.S.D) -New Delhi was represented by Mr Sparsh Maheshwari – Senior State Coordinator – MSJE and Ms. Pragya Jain- Senior State Coordinator -MSJE. Both of them presented a well informative session on How to become a good volunteer followed by Q & A.

Mrs. Varsha Vidhya Vilas presented a PPT with her team of the work Nashabandi Mandal was doing all over Maharashtra.

Mr. Bosco presented the work of Nav Nirman Foundation in the field of Addiction treatment & Mental Health Care at it’s centre  near Murbad- Kalyan, under the dynamic leadership of the Managing Trustee and Trustee Mr. Kevin Picardo & Mrs. Philetta Picardo.

Mr. D’Souza further conducted a workshop and  training with the help of a PPT and had the  involvement of all student followed by Q & A,which was much appreciated .

The Training program was a grand success, with a request from students to have similar programs in their colleges.
